2006 US Figure Skating Championships
Johnny Weir won his third consecutive US senior men’s title at the 2006 Prudential US Figure Skating Championships in St. Louis, Missouri. Fellow SCNY member and Olympian Emily Hughes won senior ladies’ bronze.
SCNY members won two US senior dance medals in 2006. Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov won silver and Morgan Matthews and Maxim Zavozin won pewter.
At the junior level, Jordan Miller won men’s silver and Kaela Pflumm (and Chris Pottenger) won junior pairs’ pewter. Adam Rippon won novice men’s silver.

1940, 1941, 1950, 1954 and 1959 Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships
The seaside resort and amusement park Rye Playland hosted the Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships five times. 1939 US senior ladies’ bronze medalist Charlotte Walther competed there during the 1939-40 and 1940-41 seasons. She won the Eastern Sectional senior ladies’ title in 1941 and senior ladies’ silver in 1940. Sharing the podium in 1941 was fellow SCNY member Phebe Tucker, who won bronze. Just missing the podium in 1940 was 9-year-old Yvonne Sherman, who placed fourth.
Nine-year-old Carol Heiss won the 1950 Eastern Sectional junior ladies’ title. That same competition, 7-year-old sister Nancy Heiss won the juvenile girls’ title. At the senior level, Irene McGuire and Walter Muehlbronner won both the senior pairs and senior dance titles. They won silver at Nationals in both events.
Future Olympic bronze medalist Scott Allen was still nine years’ old where he won the 1959 Eastern Sectional junior men’s title. Youngest Heiss sibling Bruce Heiss won senior men’s bronze. Also medaling at the 1959 Eastern Sectional Championships were Joya Utermohlen, who won novice ladies’ gold, and Carol Noir, who won junior ladies’ bronze.

Skyliners Junior and Skyliners Juvenile both won their third national title at the 2017 US Synchronized Skating Championships in Rockford, Illinois. Skyliners Novice and Skyliners Intermediate both won their first national titles. Skyliners Senior won bronze.

2016 Eastern Sectional Synchronized Skating Championships
2016 was a banner year for each of the SCNY synchronized skating programs: Central Park Ice, Gotham City Synchro and The Skyliners. Every line from every program medaled — the only time this has happened.
Beginning the celebration were Central Park Ice’s Pre-Juvenile Line, which won the organization its first-ever medal at Sectionals, a pewter, and the Open Juvenile Line, which won the 2016 Eastern Sectional Open Juvenile title.
Gotham City Synchro followed, winning silver in Open Adult and bronze in Masters.
Skyliners Juvenile won its division, and Skyliners Novice and Skyliners Intermediate won silver.
