2010 Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships
Newark, Delaware hosted the Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships during the 2009-10 season. Samantha Cesario won senior ladies’ bronze. Felicia Zhang (and Taylor Toth) won junior pairs’ bronze en route to winning the 2010 US Junior Pairs’ title in Spokane, Washington. Zhang also competed individually, winning the 2010 Eastern Sectional junior ladies’ bronze medal and 2009 US novice ladies’ bronze medal.
Zhang and Toth split after the 2010 season. Skating with Nathan Bartholomay, Zhang won both a US senior pairs bronze and silver and represented the United States at the 2014 Olympics, placing twelfth.
Also medaling at the 2010 Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships were Danielle and Alexander Gamelin (novice dance silver), Emmanuel Savary (novice men’s silver) and Abby Kimmelman (novice ladies’ bronze).
2016 National Solo Dance
Ilana Sedaka won the gold pattern dance title at the 2016 National Solo Dance competition in Newark, Delaware. She also won bronze in junior combined. Chiara Tan won silver in bronze pattern dance and Liam Tam won bronze in pre-bronze dance.
