1997 US Figure Skating Championships
SCNY members Kyoko Ina and Jason Dungjen broke a three-year streak of silver medals at Nationals by winning the US Figure Skating Senior Pairs’ title in Nashville in 1997, repeating that feat in Philadelphia a year later. They also qualified for Worlds in 1997, placing fourth. They placed fourth again at the 1998 Nagano Olympics. Kyoko partnered with John Zimmerman in the 1998-99 season, winning three more national titles and eventually earning a place in the US Figure Skating Hall of Fame.
