1980 Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships
Elaine Zayak won the 1980 Eastern Sectional Senior Ladies’s title in her first year skating senior. It was the first of four consecutive Eastern Sectional titles. The previous season (1978-79), Zayak won the US Junior Ladies’ title.
Simone Grigorescu won Eastern Sectional Senior Ladies’ bronze in 1980 and Tracy Doyle placed fourth. Stewart Sturgeon placed fourth among senior men.
