Founded in 1984 by Moira North, Ice Theatre of New York (ITNY) has changed the face of figure skating by creating works that integrate the sensibilities of contemporary dance, music and art. Through its performances in both traditional and alternative venues, ITNY presents on-ice dances that challenge the perceptions and conventional definitions of figure skating.

The Skyliners are proud to represent the Skating Club of New York in New York City and the Springdale Figure Skating Club in Stamford CT. Its mission is to prepare skaters to compete at the highest level of synchronized skating locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. Team Rinx was founded in 2008/2009 as a synchronized skating exhibition team but now fields the Island Hurricanes open juvenile line, Island Storm pre-juvenile and preliminary lines, and Breeze synchro skills lines. It competes at Eastern Sectionals, the Empire Games and various regional non-qualifiers.

The Skating Club of New York's mission is to provide programs to encourage participation and achievement in the sport of figure skating, to conduct figure skating tests as prescribed by US Figure Skating and to organize and sponsor competitions, exhibitions and clinics.
